Proton Exora will spin off

The seven-seat people mover Exora Proton is the key to the future.

The Exor was unveiled in Malaysia, and came to Australia, but the mechanical part of the package of family car that provides the real breakthrough.

It will be shot in a number of directions, including a brand new family car Persona.

Discuss Malaysia also points to a possible successor to the Jumbuck ute, which was a rare success for Proton, Australia, and the company of the first station wagon.

There was no confirmation of the extension of the model plan, but the Proton Cars Australia is already the possibility for Exora as.

"The Exora come. We assess and see how we can get it here, in what form and what price," says John startar Proton chief, who was in Malaysia last week.

"This is our first seven places, so we need to verify positioning. Should be under $ 25,000 to the timetable of the negotiations depends on pricing and market research. It would be next year at the earliest.

"In Australia we do not have the little people who work in Aisa movers.

It would be interesting to see if there is a chance. "

The largest gap in the Exora is the child, 1.6-liter Campro engine which limits almost any act of Malaysian society.

It is good for sales, but hardly sufficient for export in countries like Australia.

Startar refuses to discuss details of the mechanical package of Exor, but admits Proton is looking for ways he can exploit the latest developments in engineering.

"The plan is to streamline the number of platforms. There are currently six of the Exora Jumbuck," he says.

"The new platform is the first since the Satria, which came after the Savvy."

Proton sales in Australia have been hard hit in recent months but said startar is to develop a plan to give a revival of the impact mark.

"I must admit that we are considerably reduced. But we are preparing to work through the distribution network, from 25 to 40 back in the weeks to come," he says.

"This will give an immediate sales boost. And then we plan to release a new, small five-door model.

"This car is coming in August, but I do not want to say too much yet. We are all locked."
