All Proton cars eligible for Xchange scheme

Proton Holdings Bhd announced today that all models under its marque is now eligible to qualify for the RM5, 000 discount provided under his Xchange program, including his latest proton Exora .

The new ruling is effective immediately, the company said in a statement.

"All car models are eligible under the program. Datapwat, the vehicle must be tested and certified by Puspakom Sdn Bhd to ensure that they are not illegally tampered with," said proton.

It is said that cars with engine or chassis tampered with, or not having properly claimed ownership, is not eligible under the Program Xchange.

The program, introduced by proton since 2007, is offered to all consumers nationwide.

By procedures, consumers can trade their old car with a minimum lifespan of 10 years for a RM5, 000 discount when they purchase any proton car.

"Proton has received overwhelming responses for Xchange Program and hopefully by integrating Exora, it is further energize the sales," said managing director Datuk Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir. - Bernama
