Proton Edar dealers expect Exora to boost sales

The Proton Malaysia EDAR Association expects the new Proton Exora be well received and the average increase of Proton car sales by at least 30 percent

EDAR Proton Association Malaysia (PEDA) is awaiting the new Proton Exora multipurpose vehicle (MPV) to increase the sales of each distributor, on average, 10 units.

"Given the quality and price of the new Proton Exora, we are convinced that it would be well received and average increase of Proton car sales by at least 30 percent," said Armin Baniaz Pahamin, the President of PEDA in a statement today.

He said this would allow dealers cities with average sales of 35 cars of various model mix variance, the threshold of profitability.

"Dealers must Metropolitan sell at least 40 cars per month to break even," he explained.
He also said that based on monthly production, each branch and dealer would be allocated at least 10 Proton Exora units per month.

The new Proton Exora is the ninth most in the Proton range of cars and gaps, the current model, are the most salable Proton Persona and Proton Saga, PEDA said.

PEDA also said that the Exora with Proton Proton Persona Proton Saga and should contribute to 80 percent of total sales.

He said customers who booked MPV before the launch would now be the priority in delivery.

To date, PEDA has received over 2,000 bookings for the new Proton Exora this country and also the clients, without even having seen the new car. - Bernama
