Giant shoppers win Proton Exora cars

KUALA LUMPUR: No one is happier than Yee Ling and lamb Hayazi Azizan Mohamad when each took a RM67, 500 Proton Cars Exor 1.6 during the celebration of the anniversary of the last Giant.

They won their car after a thrilling match of the two hours that the actual commercial release of their knowledge and skills with 33 other participants saw puzzle.

The reality competition, the second will be held at Giant, was the grand finale of the celebration of her birthday, held from 6.26-8.06 last year.


Giant allocated a total of RM200, 000 € in prizes, including two cars for the competition, which attracted over 45 867 entries.

Thirty-five works were shortlisted to compete in the reality competition, held at Giant Hypermarket in Kota Daman Sara.

Participants had to go through three rounds of the competition. In the first round was the total value of 10 selected items recommended.


The second round was the most exciting event - the supermarket sweep, where the finalists were given a short set of 10 puzzles to get the right items in the supermarket to find.

The third and final round, which was the hardest part was putting together a puzzle that many regarded as "confusing."

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd marketing director Ho Mun Hao said the competition was organized with a view to giving the participants an equal chance of winning the prize, the EXOR two protons.


He said he hopes the reality game giant added a new element of fun, excitement and enjoyment to their customers.

"We hope this game really added a new element of fun and entertainment for all of you as the purchaser of the Giants.

"We hope to help foster camaraderie and sportsmanship to all our customers, making this event a memorable experience for everyone," he said.

Besides the two big winners, five first prize winners won a Philips LCD 42''TV each and eight winners of the second prize of a Philips LCD 32''TV each.

Ten third prize winners walked away with a Samsung refrigerator with two doors, while a fully automatic washing machine Samsung has been given to the winners of 10 awards in the quarter.
